Notes for Matija Pava PETKOVIĆ

Matija Pava is the daughter of Mate PETKOVIC and Barbara Pava CUKROV.
(Her father, Mate was previously married to Pava MAČUKAT. They had no children together; however Pava had a son, Marko, born in 1811, with her first husband Mate CUKROV-GRUBE. When Mate GRUBE died, she married Mate PETKOVIĆ and moved into his house with her son.
When Pava died, her son, Marko continued living with his step-father, Mate PETKOVIĆ. Mate married his second wife, Barbara CUKROV. They had a daughter Matija.
Later Marko CUKROV-GRUBE and Matija PETKOVIĆ married and Marko took on the Petković surname because he was living in the Petković house.
Marko and Matija had a son, Stipe PETKOVIĆ.
Marko died when he was 24 years old in 1835. Stipe was born in1834 when Marko was 23.
In 1838, Matija married Jakov RADOVČIĆ after Marko’s death. He was from Kaprije but came to live in Matija’s house in Šepurina (House 24). They had six children together.
