Migrated to Australia in 1909 and was interned on Rottnest Island as an enemy alien. Later he was transferred to the Holsworthy Camp in NSW and eventually deported in 1919.

Volunteered to serve in the Serbian Army during World War 1 on the Macedonian Front.9

Shot by Italian gendarmes in 1921 for putting up a Croatian flag. He was shot on the day of his niece’s wedding - Tomica Skroza who married Aleksandar Kursar Picimirov. Joso lived in Split and came to Šepurina for the wedding.47
